BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of two people whose toddler had to be hospitalized for an overdose.

Bryan Edward Connolly, 41, and Ashley Marie Romashko, 35, both of Moncks Corner, are charged with unlawful neglect of a child.

This comes after deputies were dispatched Sunday to a home on McQueenshill Lane when a report came through of a 2-year-old in need of EMS.

Deputies were told this was the second time EMS had responded to the home. During the first, Connolly and Romashko reportedly refused to let EMS take the child to the hospital.

During the second response, Berkeley County EMS requested help from the sheriff’s office.
