EAST BERNSTADT, Ky. (WKYT) - A Laurel County woman has been charged with murder in connection with an overdose death.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says 37-year-old Courtney Boone of East Bernstadt was arrested on Kentucky Highway 192 in London Monday evening.

The sheriff’s office says Boone’s arrest came after an investigation into the overdose death of a 26-year-old man earlier this year. According to their investigation, Boone provided the victim with a fatal dose of fentanyl through the form of methamphetamine in a pipe.

Boone is charged with murder.
