Hamdy Abdelwahab entered the UFC in 2022. After a three-year break from fighting, he had already had a career. Out of four fights, he won two, lost one, and had a no-contest. While he was competing relatively well inside the cage, it was still unclear what would have prompted his cut, especially after defeating Chris Barnett at UFC 321.
