WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) -- The man found guilty in the August murder of Choice Washington was back in a Trumbull County courtroom to learn his punishment. David Hollie was sentenced to 41.5 years to life in prison. Judge Sarah Kovoor also found Hollie is a repeat violent offender following a prior conviction on felony charges, including involuntary manslaughter. Last week, a jury found Hollie guilty of murder, having weapons under disability, tampering with evidence, failure to comply, and receiving stolen property in connection with the August shooting of Washington on Scott Street in Warren. “What happened to him was senseless,” Brooke Clark, Washington’s friend, said.
