Southfield police are investigating what they describe as a reported “Peeping Tom” incident involving a 9-year-old girl inside a store’s restroom.
It allegedly happened on Oct. 22 at the Michaels store at 28550 Telegraph Road. According to police, a woman and her 9-year-old daughter were using separate stalls in the restroom when the child reportedly saw a hand above her stall, taking photos of her with a cell phone. The child shouted for her mother, police said.
As reported by the child, the suspect’s hand appeared to be that of a white man wearing a black sleeve and white shoes, police said.
A person of interest, described as a bald, medium-build white man with a mustache, was seen entering the store at 7:36 p.m. and leaving five minutes later, police said. He was wearing a white coat
