NORWALK, Conn. (WTNH) — A man was arrested after a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in July in Norwalk, police said.
Marc Owens, 56, of Norwalk, is facing charges related to the death of a pedestrian in July.
Police said around 10:16 a.m. on July 12, 84-year-old Josephine Pimpinella was struck by a pickup truck, driven by Owens, in the area of 133 Connecticut Ave. She later died from her injuries.
Investigating officers canvassed the area and an arrest warrant for Owens was approved.
Owens turned himself in on Tuesday.
He was charged with the following: • Misconduct with a motor vehicle • Distracted driving not by a cell phone • Failure to yield to a pedestrian
Bond was set at $50,000, and he will appear in court on Nov. 10.
