A passenger with measles spent more than three hours at Newark Liberty International Airport this month — the latest in a string of infected flyers who have passed through the busy hub this year as the disease has reached record highs in the U.S., authorities said on Oct. 27.
Anyone who was at Terminal B on Oct. 19 between 2:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. may have been exposed to the infected passenger, who is not a New Jersey resident, according to a bulletin released by the state Health Department. No other information was given about the person. Terminal B handles international airlines.
Similar incidents have occurred at the airport in March , May and July , prompting similar alerts. But there has not been a measles outbreak reported in New Jersey this year.
