NEWARK, N.J. (WPVI) -- Officials are alerting residents about someone who visited New Jersey while in the infectious stage of measles.

The New Jersey Health Department says the person passed through Newark Liberty International Airport's Terminal B on Sunday, October 19, between 2:15 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Officials recommend anyone who thinks they were exposed or are ill to call the health department before seeing a doctor to avoid what could be a further spread of germs.

They say potentially exposed individuals, if infected, could develop symptoms as late as Nov. 9.

No additional associated cases in New Jersey have been identified, according to the health department.
