MONTROSE COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - The case involving the 37-year-old man who was found in the south canal on July 31 in Montrose is still being investigated, and law enforcement is asking for residents' help in the incident.

An autopsy revealed the man was Montrose resident Benjamin Brent Davis, who was later identified through his distinctive tattoos.

The Montrose County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating the incident and seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the event that led to Davis entering the canal. To do so, contact the sheriff's office at 970-252-4023.
