MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — The resurfacing project along CO Highway 141 near Gateway, which began on July 7, has been completed, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
Improving around 13 miles of CO 141 from Mile Point 107 at Larsen Canyon south of Gateway to Mile Point 120 at Turner Gulch north of Gateway, the project included two applications of asphalt overlay paving, guardrail replacement and bridge deck repairs at two locations.
"CO 141 is a scenic and historically significant route that winds through the western region of the state," said CDOT Regional Transportation Director Jason Smith. "In addition to supporting tourism, the highway serves as a vital link for connecting rural communities. The new surface will make this route more reliable."
