MINNEAPOLIS — As expected, local Target employees received layoff notices Tuesday morning as part of the corporation's restructuring plan announced earlier this month.
Target Corporation sent WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) letters to the State Rapid Response team, announcing employees will be impacted in the Twin Cities metro area.
The notices say the layoffs affected 528 people at the downtown Minneapolis headquarters and another 287 people at the Brooklyn Park campus.
According to the WARN, the employees will be permanently laid off beginning Jan. 3, 2026.
