A man drove an excavator through the side of a home while a child was inside during a domestic violence incident this week in Upstate New York, troopers said.
The incident happened around 3 p.m. Monday at a home on Upper Bean Hill Road in Groveland, a rural town about 15 minutes south of Geneseo in the Finger Lakes.
During a “domestic dispute,” Matthew P. Partridge climbed onto a large excavator at a family business and drove toward a residence, the New York State Police said in a news release. At the time, a 62-year-old woman was inside the home with an 11-year-old boy.
Partridge used the excavator to damage the house, driving through the side of the home and destroying part of the residence’s wraparound porch, troopers said. The 37-year-old Nunda man then threatened the woman inside t
