With SNAP benefits suspended in Alabama because of a federal government shutdown, Feeding the Gulf Coast and community agencies are preparing to offer urgent food assistance to those affected.
A press release issued Monday by Feeding the Gulf Coast stated that The Alabama Department of Human Resources (DHR) announced that all November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits will be suspended starting Saturday, Nov. 1.
