SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell announced she’s suing the Trump administration for “unlawfully suspending” SNAP benefits despite the inability of the white house to sign a spending budget until it’s passed by congress.
She’s joined by 22 other attorneys general and three governors in this action.
Campbell issued a statement Monday in which she accused the Trump administration of quote “Creating needless fear, angst and harm for millions of families” ahead of the holidays.
She added that “It is past time for the Trump Administration to act to help” the estimated 42,000,000 people who rely on SNAP nationwide.
