The basement furnace at a Lower Paxton Township home blew out on Tuesday, shattering some of its windows.

Just before 11:30 a.m., multiple calls came in about a house whose furnace had blown. Smoke could be seen coming from the basement.

Lower Paxton Township fire officials and police arrived at a residence along Timothy Road, where the basement windows of the house were blown out.

Bits of glass could be seen throughout the home’s driveway as fire officials worked to retrieve some of the owner’s belongings from inside.

Fire officials said it was too early to provide more information, but confirmed there was no fire and that they would likely know more in the coming hours.
