WASHINGTON COUNTY, Neb. —
There was a peaceful resolution after an intense standoff in Washington County.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office was called to a home outside Herman, Nebraska, for a man experiencing a mental health crisis.
Deputies found the man dressed in body armor and holding an assault rifle.
As negotiators tried to talk to him, deputies said the man fired multiple rounds.
It is unclear if that was toward deputies.
Eventually, the man surrendered and was taken to get a mental health evaluation.
