FREMONT, Neb. —
A Dodge County judge ruled a Fremont man will head to trial on two explosives-related charges. Jared Eickhorst waived his right to a preliminary hearing Tuesday and was bound over to district court on unlawful possession of explosives and possession of a destructive device charges.
The judge dismissed two drug-related charges, without prejudice, at the request of prosecutors, meaning they can later be refiled.
Fremont police arrested Eickhorst in July after they allegedly found several items in his trash that are involved in making explosives. Court documents allege an officer pulled up Eickhorst's home on Google Maps Streetview and saw a white banner with the word "explosives" written on it.
Eickhorst is due back in court in December.
