India is actively pursuing avenues to hasten the energy transition while ensuring energy security across Southeast Asia, with initial focus on Singapore, according to a senior Indian official.

Ghanshyam Prasad, Chairman of the Central Electricity Authority, emphasized the potential of interconnections between the South ASEAN and Southeast Asia grids for optimal renewable resource usage.

Prasad highlighted India's readiness to export renewable energy, further facilitating a green energy shift, with a proposed direct link to Singapore supporting the 'One Sun One World One Grid' initiative.
