NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Colin Caplan, owner of Taste of New Haven food tours , has made a name for himself promoting the excellent pizza that the Elm City is famous for, but once a year he offers a tour that takes a bit of a detour.
Caplan, a historian of all things New Haven, holds the “Trick or Eat Spooky Tour” every Halloween Eve.
“One of the things I love about New Haven is its history, and its history includes a lot of dead people who are not here anymore and a lot of buildings that have become haunted," Caplan said.
From the centuries-old Grove Street Cemetery that straddles the Yale Campus to the old Union Trust Building—now the Union Building—in the very center of the city, Caplan shares stories of New Haven’s haunted past.
