Wells Fargo to lay off 400+ Portland-area employees before year’s end

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Wells Fargo will lay off over 400 employees across three locations in the Portland metro on Dec. 26, 2025, according to notices issued by Oregon’s Office of Workforce Investments on Tuesday.

The news comes after the company announced plans to lay off more than 50 workers from their downtown Portland office earlier this month, in order to “exit support operations” at the location.

444 workers will be laid off in total, coming from locations in Hillsboro, Salem, and Portland.

Here’s a breakdown of the layoffs by location:

Hillsboro (10500 Northeast Walker Road): 263 workers

Salem (355 Southeast Hawthorne Avenue): 147 workers

Portland (1300 Southwest 5th Avenue): 34 workers
