SRINAGAR : Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said the government has been reviewing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) scheme to introduce greater flexibility and transparency in its implementation. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

Speaking during the ongoing Assembly session, Abdullah stated that although the core framework of work allotment could not be changed, several provisions have been refined to allow legislators to respond more effectively to local needs.

He said that each MLA can recommend developmental works worth up to Rs 50 lakh, with new categories of permissible expenditure added to the scheme. Among these are individual house connectivity, purchase of school vans, and procurement of wheelchairs or mobility scooters for health purposes.
