The rain started to fall yesterday, and it was steady through the night into this morning. The rain will slowly come to an end from northwest to southeast through the morning and into the afternoon. Rainfall amounts have been great between 0.50" and 1", some spots more.
The same system that's bringing the rain to the Ozarks is also bringing the wind. Northwest winds will be sustained at 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 40 mph possible. This, combined with the rain and chilly weather, will make for an overall unpleasant day.
Temperatures today will be trapped in the upper 40s to near 50°. As skies gradually clear this evening, temperatures will be allowed to cool significantly overnight. Temperatures out the door Thursday morning will be cold in the mid to upper 30s.
Thursday will find sun
