CLEVELAND, Ohio— Halloween in the U.S. is a big deal. Really big. From costumes for the family (including little Fido) to candy and decorations, the United States spends about $13 billion on Halloween each year, according to the National Retail Federation. No other country comes close to that number.

So it comes as no surprise that, as you drive around Northeast Ohio, there are some pretty spectacular displays of fun and fright to enjoy.

People turn their homes into all manners of spookiness. Front yards become pirate ships and alien UFO landing sites, haunted pumpkin patches and graveyards.
