A 13-year-old boy was stabbed at Manchester Piccadilly station on Monday afternoon, prompting a swift response from emergency services. The incident occurred near the short stay car park, and the victim was quickly taken to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not considered life-threatening or life-changing, according to British Transport Police. In connection with the attack, a 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent. Additionally, three other boys—one aged 13 and two aged 12—were arrested on suspicion of affray. All four have since been released on bail as the investigation continues. Detective Inspector Stephen Kite described the incident as "shocking," noting that it unfolded in broad daylight in front of numerous witnesses. He stated, "We have spoken to a number of witnesses alongside many other enquiries we're working on, but we believe there may be other people who saw what happened and have yet to come forward." Kite also highlighted the potential for crucial evidence, urging anyone who may have been driving past the station to check their dash cam footage. He added, "I urge those people to make contact with us as quickly as possible. We will not tolerate violence on the railway network and will do everything we can to bring to justice those responsible." The victim has since been discharged from hospital.
