A Scottish slashing victim suffered horrific injuries after a gang stormed his home in a brutal blade attack.
TJ Byrne, 36, said he is lucky to be alive after the assailants burst into his property on Garry Street in Fife at 6.10am on Thursday October 23 and " slashed his face".
Officers from Police Scotland raced to the scene after being alerted to a "robbery and assault".
Ambulance crews also attended and TJ was rushed to hospital for treatment. He has since shared pictures of his wounds with the Record.
Images show huge gashes on TJ's neck, ear and the back of his head. His face is also battered and bruised with his eye left swollen after his gashes were stitched up by medics, reports the Record .
