A woman has sadly died after she was struck by a vehicle in Oldbury.
The lady, who was said to be in her 60s, was walking along the Wolverhampton Road, near the Wernley Pub, when she was fatally hit just after 6.30pm.
Paramedics administered trauma care before transferring her to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a critical condition.

Despite the best efforts of medical staff, nothing could be done to save her.
A 31-year-old man who was previously detained on suspicion of drug driving has now been further arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
