A woman accused of stalking the family of Madeleine McCann has claimed she is still "50/50" about whether she could be their missing daughter. Julia Wandelt, a 24 year old Polish national, has allegedly claimed to be the girl who disappeared during a family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007.
The alleged stalker told Leicester Crown Court that she would "walk away" if presented with full documentation proving she was not Madeleine. Prosecutors claim that Wandelt, from Lubin in south-west Poland, perpetuated the myth that she is Madeleine while harassing Kate and Gerry McCann through emails, phone calls, and visits to their home.
