WILLISTON, Fla. (WCJB) - A sexual offender in Levy County has been arrested for the second time this month.
Deputies say Joseph Vanderbush, 61, was accessing several internet services, like online dating websites, where he was contacting other people online. This violates the Florida State Statute Sexual Offender obligations, which require that he notify law enforcement of all online activities.
This month, Vanderbush was also arrested on Oct. 2 after a joint investigation between Levy County and St. John’s County detectives found that he had moved to Levy County without alerting law enforcement.
Vanderbush was initially designated a sexual offender in August 2007 for lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim 12 to 15 years of age.
He is being held in the Levy County Detention Center
