MAYODAN, N.C. — A Rockingham County man is facing multiple felony charges after deputies say they found a woman inside a home with visible injuries following a reported abduction on Wednesday.
The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said it received a report on Oct. 29 of a possible abduction by force. A caller told deputies she believed her friend was being held against her will during a domestic situation at a home on Ellis Road in Mayodan.
Deputies and Mayodan police officers went to the home, where they found a man who identified himself as Michael Warren Serdar, 40. Based on the initial information provided, Serdar was immediately detained, the sheriff’s office said.
