A Chicago-based private investment firm has bought HopCat, a chain of gastro pubs founded in Grand Rapids, with plans for growth and a focus on its value driven menu and casual vibe.
Founded in 2008, HopCat is known as a neighborhood spot and for its vast selection of beers on tap including notable local craft beers. Its locations feature a pub-style menu of sandwiches, burgers and other from scratch made items, including the well-seasoned signature Cosmik fries.
