LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Fall chill will continue for the next couple days with a very nice Halloween shaping up.

A few more chilly mornings are ahead, the first of which is Thursday morning when lows will drop to the mid/upper 40’s. Friday morning looks even cooler! Temps will drop to the mid 40’s along I-10 and low 40’s north. It’s not out of the question a few of the usual cold spots could see upper 30’s! Make sure to have sweaters or jackets handy as you head out to work and school.

The afternoons will stay nice with less wind too. Highs will top out near or just above 70 Thursday into Friday. This will make for a great Halloween with no weather issues expected! Temperatures will fall into the 50’s Friday evening past sunset, so it may be a bit cool for trick-or-treating.
