OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Widespread dense fog has settled into the metro and much of surrounding area to start off Thursday. Heads up for reduced visibility especially in low lying areas. Also with temperatures close to freezing we could see frost cause slick spots, especially on elevated surfaces.
This fog should be mostly gone by 10am with a rather pleasant Fall day on the way afterward. Highs in the mid 50s with a few clouds among the blue sky should feel pretty good.
All the focus then turns to Halloween and the trick-or-treat forecast. Highs climb into the lower 50s Friday afternoon with a NW wind gusting to near 25 at times.
Near sunset as kids head out to collect candy I expect temperatures in the 40s for us all with NW winds in the 10-20 mph range. Just enough to make it chilly.
