VANCOUVER, Wash. — Vancouver police are searching for a rape suspect who reportedly cut off his ankle monitor and failed to appear in court on Wednesday, officials said on social media .

The suspect, Todd R. Hubbard, was ordered to wear a GPS ankle monitor as part of his pre-trial release conditions. He was scheduled to appear in court to plead guilty on Wednesday.

"He removed his ankle monitor and failed to appear in court. A felony warrant has been issued for his arrest, along with additional charges of Malicious Mischief II and Escape III," Vancouver police said in the post.

Police urge anyone who sees Hubbard or knows where he is to call 911 immediately and warned not to approach him.

Police posted the notice at 6:08 p.m. Wednesday. The department did not share details on Hubbard
