PITTSBURGH —

Police and emergency medical were called to Pittsburgh's Stanton Heights neighborhood for a 15-year-old who had been shot multiple times.

When police arrived Thursday morning, they found a 15-year-old with with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest and legs.

Officers were able to apply tourniquets and control bleeding before emergency medical services arrived.

The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to a hospital where he is in critical condition but stable.

Authorities believe suspects fled the area in a vehicle, but did not provide additional information.
