Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after a Cambridge resident was robbed and left with minor injuries during a buy-and-sell meetup Wednesday evening.
In a news release, police say that at about 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 29, three men went to a home in the area of Linden Drive in Cambridge to purchase items listed for sale on a buy-and-sell website.
One of the men attempted to leave the residence without paying and, police allege, assaulted the seller when confronted. All three men fled the area on foot with the stolen items.
The victim sustained minor physical injuries.
Police said the first suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 18 years old, six feet and two inches tall, with a thin build, and dreadlocks.
