Tupelo Police have charged two men with grand larceny following a theft of fiber optic cable reported on Graystone Drive.
Officers first responded to Graystone Drive on October 26 at approximately 3:18 p.m. after a victim reported two individuals had stolen fiber optic cable.
Investigators obtained surveillance footage from the scene. Later that day, at about 7:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to the same location and contacted two individuals who were arrested on misdemeanor charges.
After further investigation, Jimmy W. Thrasher, 58, of Verona, and Michael W. Gilmore, 35, of Tupelo, were each charged on October 28 with one count of grand larceny.
Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Allen set bond at $5,000 for both men. The case will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
