LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Firefighters saved a dog from a northeast valley apartment fire Thursday morning.
At around 7 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, the Clark County Fire Department responded to reports of an apartment fire in the 3700 block of Carlyle Drive, near East Cheyenne Avenue and North Las Vegas Boulevard.
Fire crews arrived to find a 2-story residential structure showing heavy smoke and used hose lines to attack the fire. It was declared knocked down by 7:14 a.m.
No people were found during searches of the structure, but a dog was found alive and rescued by firefighters.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
At the time of publication, no damage estimate was available, and the cause of the fire was unknown.
