JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - On Wednesday morning, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office seized more than 26 grams of methamphetamine following the arrest of a wanted individual.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., Deputy Henderson received information that a person who was wanted was staying at a residence on Orange Street in Jackson.

Multiple county units responded to the location and ordered the individual to exit the home. The suspect complied and was taken into custody without incident.

Sergeant Schilling obtained a search warrant for the residence based on evidence suggesting the presence of illegal narcotics.

During the search, deputies discovered approximately 26.5 grams of methamphetamine inside a backpack.

The suspect was booked into the Jackson County Jail on multiple outstanding warrants
