Early voting is underway. In Glastonbury, voters are deciding on a referendum that proposes banning artificial turf fields from the town.

There is already a turf field at the high school. If this measure passes, that field wouldn’t be impacted. However, this would prohibit new turf fields from coming in, halting a conversation that’s been underway in town the past few years.

The referendum comes as local organization, the Grassroots Coalition, received enough petitioners to get it on the ballot.
