New York authorities have arrested five individuals linked to the 2023 overdose death of Leandro Anthony De Niro-Rodriguez, the 19-year-old grandson of actor Robert De Niro, PEOPLE reports.

A Drug Enforcement Administration official confirmed all five suspects face charges of death resulting from the sale of narcotics to NBC New York .

De Niro-Rodriguez was discovered dead in Manhattan on July 2, 2023, according to reports. The New York City Chief Medical Examiner later determined his death was an accidental overdose caused by a combination of fentanyl, bromazolam, alprazolam, 7-aminoclonazepam, ketamine and cocaine.

The teen was the only son of Drena De Niro, 56, the daughter of Robert De Niro and his first wife.
