OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) -- Families got into the Halloween spirit tonight with the annual trail of treats event.
The streets in Downtown Owensboro closed so 90 booths packed with candy, costumes and fun could take over. The booths were sponsored by local businesses and organizations.
Organizers say the event allows families to enjoy a fun and safe night of trick or treating.
"It keeps getting bigger and bigger every year,” Nikki Bex said. “It's just so nice and everybody, I love how they just put it together, Owensboro's got a good one, they really do. Havin' a ball, havin' a blast, it's really fun. Thank you Owensboro."
The event wrapped up at 8 and will return again, next Halloween.
