Another Oklahoma County judge steps aside from Richard Glossip’s case.

Judge Susan Stallings came under fire from Glossip’s legal team, who say she can’t be impartial because she used to work for the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s office, the same office that prosecuted Glossip nearly 30 years ago.

Last month, Stallings denied a motion asking her to recuse herself. But during a Rule 15 hearing on Thursday, a proceeding where a party asks a judge to disqualify themselves from a case due to potential bias or a conflict of interest, Glossip’s attorneys laid out why they believe she should reconsider.

They pointed to her time working in the DA’s office and called witnesses to highlight the years surrounding Glossip’s prosecution.
