PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) - State and local leaders celebrated the completion of the final section of the U.S. 460 corridor in Pike County, KY, yesterday.

The new four-lane highway connects U.S. 23 all the way to the Virginia state line.

Rocky Adkins, senior advisor to Governor Andy Beshear, joined transportation officials to celebrate the completion, calling it one of the biggest investments ever made in the region.

The project cost about $800 million and took decades to finish.
