The month of October was a busy time for news and events in and around Northern New Mexico.

Staff photojournalists at The New Mexican captured scenes from the special legislative session at the start of the month, the 53rd annual Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the Honoring Native Nations Powwow on the Plaza and the nationwide “No Kings” protest that took over much of Santa Fe’s downtown streets.
