PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Witches, superheroes and princesses were abound on Friday at Meeting Street's annual Halloween parade.
The event is an opportunity for children of all abilities to celebrate the holiday safely, according to Meeting Street President John Kelly.
"It's really creating a fun time for the kids," Kelly said. "We include all kids so all kids can participate in Halloween, no matter how they're abled or disabled. It's about all kids."
Members of the 12 News team were there to hand out candy, along with the Cardi brothers.
Founded as a school for children with disabilities in 1946, Meeting Street offers programs and services for children of all abilities, serving more than 5,000 students and their families each year.
