Just in time for Halloween, the Warren Police Department took delivery of four Trike Mobility Scooters that can be used for community policing and to patrol in areas where it is not feasible to use a car.

“In a large city like Warren, foot and bicycle patrols just aren’t practical,” said Lt. John Gajewski, Warren public information officer, Friday. “We’re not Royal Oak, we’re not Ferndale or Birmingham where you could argue a couple of officers walking the beat would make sense.

“Our officers are actually going to be using them tonight for Halloween neighborhood patrol.”
