SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (PIX11) — The search is on for two men after one was reported missing when they didn't come home from kayaking in Shinnecock Bay, according to police.

Shane Garcia, 27, was reported missing by his girlfriend on Saturday night after he'd gone kayaking with his 25-year-old friend, Aaron Montemarano, officials said.

Police said Garcia had sent a picture of Montemarano and himself to his girlfriend while they were out in Shinnecock Bay.

Officers found Garcia's work van parked near the end of Shinnecock Avenue in Hamptons Bay when patrol units went searching, according to police. Units searched the Bay as well as the surrounding area to no avail.
