PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead in a downtown parking lot early Sunday morning.
Portland Police Central Precinct officers responded to a report of a person lying on the ground around 4:23 a.m. in the 300 block of Southwest 3rd Avenue, according to the Portland Police Bureau. When officers arrived, they found a man and called paramedics, who determined he was deceased, police said.
Police later identified the man killed as Taylor J. Ritter, 20, of Gresham. The medical examiner determined that his death was a homicide from a gunshot wound.
The suspect or suspects left the scene before police arrived, according to police. No arrests have been made.
