ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — All season, Bills quarterback Josh Allen has worn custom-designed New Era caps — designed by Oishei Children’s Hospital patients — at home games to help raise money for its pediatric care.
With previous home games, he's worn those hats in the tunnel, on his way to the locker room, to get ready for the game. He called an audible on Sunday, though, wearing this week's cap to the postgame news conference, following a 28-21 win against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
"First of all, I want to shout out Carson for making this hat," Allen said, starting his news conference. "I did not wear it on the walk-in today. I did not see it in my locker. Hand up, I take accountability for that. I got it on now, so thanks, Carson."
