Ex-England manager Gareth Southgate has stated he's not in a hurry to get back into management, despite rumours linking him with Manchester United . The 55-year-old has been jobless since his departure from the Three Lions last summer.

During his tenure with England, Southgate guided the squad to two European championship finals and the semi-final of the 2018 World Cup. His final match at the helm was the 2-1 defeat to Spain in the Euro 2024 final.

Since then, there have been whispers about a potential return to management with United, particularly given Ruben Amorim 's early difficulties at the club. Just last month, it was suggested that Southgate would have certain expectations of United if he were to take on the role at Old Trafford .
